Sorry to hear this. Have you consulted their pediatrician? That should always be the first step. Then (assuming you're nursing), consider eliminating all milk products (milk, cheese etc). from your diet for 7 days and see if symptoms improve. If they do, you have your answer! Milk protein intolerance is quite common under a year and an elimination diet will help. If you're giving formula you may need to try a hydrolozed formula option. Good luck!

Please consult your pediatrician as I'm not a doctor however some specialty formulas are available through insurance and there are some store options as well including Nutramigan or Alimentum.

@@TheModernJuggle Me too! I was lucky though that my husband was willing to do all the emptying of the drains and writing down the amount which is what my Dr. asked for. Sleeping on my back was the hardest part since I'm a side sleeper. When the swelling goes down and you actually see what they'll be like... huge relief! Congratulations! No more shoulder grooves (they'll disappear after awhile), no more back aches, bigger selection of pretty bras and cute tops and now you can wear a strapless dress if you want. You're gonna love it!! 👍🤗

Woohoo! I'm excited for you! The pain is far less than I expected and is totally mangeable! It just feels like a big bruise. I took Tylenol and pain medication for 2 days only. The worst part for me was the surgical drains that first week - they were just uncomfortable. And now my biggest complaint is itchiness around the scars as they heal. I can already tell you it's worth it!!

I had it done years ago and I'm SO glad I did. No more grooves in my shoulders. They took a while to go away but they're gone! Best advice I could give is to pick a surgeon who has a waiting list. If you can't get in right away it means they're good!

That's good info, thank you!! I'm usually pretty picky with sugar for their school items. So if I pack one thing that's higher sugar for lunch, I'll then give them something either sugar free, natural sugar or salty (like veggie sticks) to balance it out for morning / pm snack!

It can be very hard and overwhelming to cut out items you're used to eating but it can also make a world of a difference in your baby! I'd suggest limiting what you can while still maintaining your own health and sanity and of course to consult the baby's pediatrician with any concerns 💕

I'm so sorry you're struggling! Their stools were green and frothy about 90% of the time and they were extremely fussy and had a very hard belly at times. How is her temperament? Is she a happy baby? Does she seem to be in pain? I definitely know that foremilk can cause very loose stools and green as well (I experienced this when I wasn't draining the whole breast or if I switched sides too frequently) but it won't make your baby fussy or uncomfortable. If she seems uncomfortable or extra gassy / fussy I'd definitely try eliminating just dairy. There's no risk in trying it and if it's the culprit you should notice a difference in just a few days!

@@TheModernJuggle she's mostly a clam baby if being held. but her tummy often gets hard and gets very gassy. She also spits up about 3 times a day and gets hiccups often. Would it be all forms of dairy? I noticed the green poops are mostly after eating something with a lot of dairy, like cheese pizza. But most days she's fine if I consume a "normal" amount of dairy

It may just be a sensitivity to excess amounts. I'd play around with it! Maybe try only including dairy in one meal a day? There's no harm in trying! If you notice a difference I'd certainly bring it up to your pediatrician but it certainly sounds like a possible mild protein intolerance that she'll likely outgrow within the first 12-18 months! Our pediatric GI said most even grow out of it fully by 9 months!

My 3 weeks old is passing seedy yellowish liquidy stool after every feed. Always fussy and crying when not held. Spits ups a lot. Looks like he is in pain while burping and so uncomfortable. I have fast let down. Is it because of the too much foremilk or milk intolerance? The doctors i consult say its because of his underdeveloped GI tract. He will outgrow it soon. But its so hard to see him suffering all day. For me its too hard to cut of all the dairy products from my diet. I can try to eliminate obvious one. 😔

I'm so glad you found it helpful! We had my second child tested and his scratch test popped for egg (slightly) but nothing else! They therefore classified it as a GI intolerance and not an allergy. As for what we did.. we just waited it out! I downloaded the "milk ladder" and once they were a year old I started at the bottom with baked milk and tried to work my way up. But it took a while and was very obvious when they weren't ready (extra gassy, diarrhea, very fussy). My son was 2.5 before he was completely ok with straight dairy and closer to 3 for gluten. My daughter outgrew her diary intolerance by 16 months. Best of luck to you!!
